Take Midtown Tunnel to Rt. I495 Long Island Expressway (E). Take Long Island Expressway (E) to Route 110 South Exit 49s. Take the Airport Exit/JFK Expressway Belt Parkway ramp. Keep left at the fork in the ramp. Merge onto JFK Expressway to Belt Parkway (E). Stay straight to Cross Island Parkway (N). Take the Grand Central Parkway exit. Keep right at the fork in the ramp. Merge onto Grand Central Parkway (E). Grand Central Parkway (E) becomes Northern Parkway (E).
